Now that I have shared how I started my career, let me give you some more details about my work history. To clear up any confusion, I was born in Lautoka, a city in Fiji. All of my jobs, except my first one, were offered to me through word-of-mouth recommendations based on my hard work, perseverance, and willingness to learn. Below you will find a detailed description of the roles I undertook while living in Fiji.

The Fijian Surf Company was founded by Ian Muller in 1995, which was previously known as Viti Surf Legend (VSL). This surf company was the first to be established in Fiji and inevitably pioneered, shaped and moulded the future of Fijian surfing. The Surf Company specialises in surf tours, lessons, surf merchandise like fin control systems (FCS), different styles of surf boards, leashes, reef protective gear, snorkelling gear, clothing for men, women and children and hosted surf competitions for locals.
I was employed on a full tme basis with minimum supervision, I managed all administrative tasks, shop sales and tour bookings and reported to the director. My responsibilities and duties included:
CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES

Adrenalin Fiji is the original and largest water sports provider in Fiji and has built a quality reputation from safely operating since December 2005. We are proudly located at all Denarau Island Resorts Fiji Beach Resort managed by Hilton, Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, Westin Resort, Sheraton Fiji Resort, Radisson Fiji Resort and the Wyndham. Surf-Dive-Cruise-Fish-Fly! Things to do in Fiji, include jet ski safaris, village tours, surf charters, scuba diving, game fishing, fast jet boat rides, parasailing, water sports, luxury charters, leisure cruising, and much more.
I was offered this job because I had an exemplary reputation for seafaring. I was employed as the first female beach attendant. Before the grand opening of Adrenalin Water Sports, I went through specific training for three months. I learnt the functions of motorised and non-motorised seafaring equipment, occupational health and safety training, first aid, lifeguard skills, deckhand skills, and equipment controls.
Responsibilities and duties included:

Maintaining non-motorised and motorised equipment such as jet skis, Hobie cats, kayaks, windsurfing and the like.

Instructing guests/customers on the safe use of the equipment.

Briefing guests/customers about rules and regulations.

Performed deckhand duties on fishing and island-hopping tours.

Performed demonstrations with the water sports equipment to customers.

Jolly Good is a fast-food restaurant that specialises in mostly fried chicken dishes. In Fiji, this restaurant is of higher stature than Mac Donalds.
Jollygood has the best-fried chicken and skinless Chinese dishes. Its authentic Chinese fried rice will remind you of the Chinese dishes of the 1960s.
This was my first job entering the workforce; I worked full-time hours with minimum supervision.

I worked as an Art and Administration Assistant, leveraging my reputation for great creativity, steady hand, and fast learning. My aunt, the sole director of the company I worked for, hired me for this role due to my skills. This was a live-in position, and I worked full-time hours with minimal supervision.
